INS Zoom
Case Overview:
INS Zoom is a case management product used by immigration attorneys across the globe. Currently, their mobile app is non functioning, hence I conducted research in order to figure out if a mobile app would be beneficial for the users of this product.

UX Designer, UX Researcher

Initial Research

Problem:
The first problem at hand was posing the questions of whether customers would find value in the mobile version of INS Zoom. A possible bigger issue would be trying to edit forms and other client data in such a small frame. Thankfully, USCIS has updated their online form submission, therefore we will be gaining inspiration from this and setting up the forms in the apps in the same way.
Initial Low - fi designs:
These were the initial screens used to test the potential of the app, which received positive feedback from multiple users. After testing at this stage, we were able to refine the screens to what would be most useful for users.
Users
Qualitative User Research:
“I feel this app allows me to be on the go as a case manager, without having to worry about needing to head back to the office to make document changes.”
“This will allow me to take client calls from anywhere and make live changes instead of being dependent on my notes app”

Results and next steps
After initial research, it was concluded that users felt a need to have the INS Zoom app, which would slightly defer if they were simply using a mobile web version. At this moment further research is being conducted to finalize the INS Zoom app, but at this time I have departed the team and have limited knowledge on their design advances.
